This indicates that the humidifier is in low water level condition. Unplug the unit when this happens. Before refilling the tank, empty any residual water from the base and tank. Follow daily maintenance instructions. Follow the Filling Water Tank instructions from the manual to fill the tank, and operate the humidifier normally. We hope this information helps. We recommend that no scents or oils be added to the humidifier as we do not or understand the effects they may have on the humidification process. The cleaning instructions indicate to fill the humidifier tank 1/2 full with water and 1/2 tablespoon of bleach. Does this also clean the humidifier housing? Should I be emptying the humidifier housing each day?

Disinfecting only cleans the tank of the humidifier. For daily maintenance, yes, the tank and the base's remaining water should be drained and be sure to rinse thoroughly to remove any sediment or dirt. Hello-I purchased 2 Holmes 0.36gal Antimicrobial Top Fill Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifiers. &nbsp;They each worked fine for about 3-4 weeks. &nbsp;Now, neither one are working. &nbsp;When i press the power button on both units, they each blink red 10 times. &nbsp;Please help

As the water passes the aromatherapy from the water base, the water builds up into it. We advise that you follow the weekly maintenance of this unit and also by properly disinfecting the unit.
