The cleaning instructions indicate to fill the humidifier tank 1/2 full with water and 1/2 tablespoon of bleach. Does this also clean the humidifier housing? Should I be emptying the humidifier housing each day?

Disinfecting only cleans the tank of the humidifier. For daily maintenance, yes, the tank and the base's remaining water should be drained and be sure to rinse thoroughly to remove any sediment or dirt. Hello-I purchased 2 Holmes 0.36gal Antimicrobial Top Fill Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifiers. &nbsp;They each worked fine for about 3-4 weeks. &nbsp;Now, neither one are working. &nbsp;When i press the power button on both units, they each blink red 10 times. &nbsp;Please help

We'd like to help you fix this. Once the tank is empty, the RED Indicator Light will flash 10 times indicating that the humidifier is in low water level condition. Unplug the unit. Before refilling the tank, empty any residual water from the base and tank. Follow daily maintenance instructions. We hope that this would help you make your humidifier work again. As the water passes the aromatherapy from the water base, the water builds up into it. We advise that you follow the weekly maintenance of this unit and also by properly disinfecting the unit. Hi NrG3! Thank you for reaching out to Holmes&reg;️. We understand that you want to know how to clean your humidifier's tank tube, we are more than happy to help. To clean the tank tube, you may follow the same regular steps on cleaning the humidifier. 1. Fill humidifier tank 1/2 full with water and 1/2 tablespoon of chlorine bleach. 2. Let the solution stand for 20 minutes, swishing every few minutes. Wet all surfaces. 3. Carefully empty the tank after 20 minutes, and rinse with warm water until you can not detect any bleach smell. Dry with a clean cloth or paper towel. 4. Refill the water tank, and turn the unit on. We hope this helps you in cleaning the tank tube. Have a great day!
