It adds a cool mist by utilizing an ultrasonic transducer which atomizes water. It is quiet and filter free. It includes an aromatherapy tray, which I use for calming. The benefits are plentiful including adding moisture in the dryer months, relieving dry skin and eyes, and most of all, reducing static electricity. This unit is a top fill unit which is easier to use. It runs up to 16 hours, which is excellent. I highly recommend this product for humidifying your small room. I used it in my bedroom and I slept very well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for a nursery I needed something small but that could run at least the whole night. This humidifier is perfect for a bedroom, it’s size can fit nicely on your bedside table. It’s straight forward on how to use it. Reason why I like it so much is that I can add essential oils to it when my baby is sick. It is a bit sensitive and if you don’t tighten the lid correctly it might turn off. Also it works best when it’s on a level surface and it’s not moved after you turn it on. It does run the whole night and I only have to add water to it every day and half. So far I like it, I’ve had it for 2 months.

We live in a very dry state so I loke to always have a humidifier going while I sleep. It is so easy to clean and a breeze to refill with just the removal of the top. It last 16 long lovely hours before I need to refill it. I also really like that it is filter free.

After about 10 minutes i noticed water dripping off the edge of the desk it was sitting on. half of the water had leaked onto the desk and floor. I cleaned the mess and tried again with the setting on low. I watched it like a hawk but as soon as i turned my back it began to leak again. i cleaned the mess for a second time, placed it on a tray since it was still "working" and went to bed. I woke up to another puddle. i chatted with customer service and they informed that there were no replacement parts and that i should return it to Target where I purchased. so, no help. big disappointment. i'll probably take the refund and wont replace it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Holmes humidifier It's relatively quiet, has two different settings, and has a nice, sleek look to it (I keep it on the counter's edge as a little centerpiece) I was surprised at how powerful this unit is. It works great for individual care. I sleep better at night with all these three on. I use it mostly on low mode as it emits a lot of vapor on high mode. Regardless to say, very happy with this product

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Small and effective This humidifier is ideal for a small to medium size room. The unit itself is pretty little but if puts out a good amount of mist. I do wish it held more water though because it only has enough space for sixteen hours worth of water. The unit is sleek looking but the plastic feels a little flimsy. I found it to be easy to open and fill. The aromatherapy feature is very unique too. Having two settings for the mist is helpful because on very dry days I can increase the amount of mist. Overall this is a very effective humidifier.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not even a month old and it's useless I bought this less than a month ago and yet, the humidifier will now shut off after less than a minute of operation. There's no user manual for this model on this website, for whatever reason, and Holmes' "product supprt" is just a few questions about air purifiers. Very unhappy. Oh, and the power indicator light is very bright if you're trying to sleep.

The coolest feature of this item is the ability to use your essential oils. My previous one had the option to use the prefilled vapor rub pads, which is fine but what if I want to switch it up every now and then? This model comes with a few unscented pads for that purpose! Other then that, it's very easy to clean and the most that comes out is a perfect amount. I don't have to use a towel underneath it to protect my vanity.

Provides exactly what I need for the small space I have.. Best feature is that you can use essential oils or if you're sick, you can use menthol tabs so you can breathe better. Absolutely Love this!!

The aromatherapy tray that allows you to use Vicks trays is just one aspect that makes this humidifier stand out from the rest. Not to mention there is an additional setting that gives you option to change to warm mist if needed. The design also makes it easy to fill and prevents water and a mess when operating. I definitely will be purchasing one for my second bedroom as well!

I can easily keep this on my table because it very lightweight and compact. Since, i have been using it i don't feel nose dryness. This humidifier is a great to create a comfortable breathing environment at home. It has a small removable tank and you can easily to fill water and when you turn on the machine vapor mist comes out. No noise at all quiet device and love the nice design and quality of the humidifier.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Umm Worked great for 2 months. Now it only runs for a minute and turns off. I reached out to Holmes but they had no answers and wouldn’t replace it with another. I was offered a DEhumifier (which is the total opposite of what I purchased) or a crock pot I have no use for since I actually cook food. A refund so I could buy another for my plants would have been much appreciated. I took the crock pot just so I had something for the $40 I spent but I’m still mad. I need a working humidifier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quiet, great humidifier I put this little humidifier in my son’s room. It’s the perfect size for a kids room. It’s sleep, and isn’t bulky or take up too much space like other humidifiers. You can put the little Vick’s tabs in there to give them a diffuser smell if they’re sick, which is a nice feature to have. We haven’t used that yet, but it’s definitely nice to know it’s there for when someone gets sick. It’s fairly quiet, and easy to refill and see if it needs to be refilled. This is a great humidifier.

I’ve had a few table top humidifiers before and I’ve never had the company recommend it goes on top of something water proof, so right off that bat that was a little weird, I suppose it is precaution for if it leaks. It is great for a small room, like my 200 sq ft bedroom but it didn’t work so well in my living room which is twice the size. It’s not terribly noisy and it’s easy to refill. It does need to be refilled every day or two but that’s to be expected of a product this size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this! Holmes did a great job when they perfected this dehumidifier. The chamber is huge so I’m able to use it all night long. I’ve noticed a difference in my sleep when I use it at night. I love that I can add my essential oils to it and make my whole room smell good while it’s helping my allergies and my dry nose. My room is 12 x 15 so it’s pretty big, and I feel like this machine works perfect for my space. I love that there are two settings and they both work great! I also love the size of it, it’s not too big and it fits well with my Decour. It doesn’t look like it’s out of place at all. You could place this on an end table, on the floor or even next to your bed and it wouldn’t feel very big in the space. Overall I’m very excited to continue using this product and I have to say five stars to Holmes great job!

It’s so easy to use and it’s very quiet so you don’t even hear it when it’s on and that’s a big plus for people like myself that don’t like loud noisy stuff when your trying to sleep. This humidifier is amazing anyone can use it for everyday use or just when you need to loosen up your chest and congestion. I recommend this product to anyone that wants the best product around.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Humidifier Work I used this humidifier in my game room for about a month now and can tell that it has made the air a nice moist. It is not to much or to little. I do not cough as much as I use to once I place this in my game room. The unit is easy to set up and small enough to set on top on one my end table. I like not having to worry about looking for filters because I work too much to stress about that. I like to place a little lavender in the unit to give it more of a relax feel for me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works Great! I've been using this product for my ivy plants, and it's been working great! There's a high setting for a large amount of mist and a low setting for less mist. There's also a pad where you can place essential oils, so it can basically act as a diffuser as well. It sends the mist quite high, so it'll be able to reach plants a bit above it and also fall down over a larger area. I'd say the main downsides are that it doesn't have more modes and it doesn't have a super large water capacity. I already live in a relatively humid area, so for my needs, it doesn't need a large tank to run all day on the high setting. However, I can see how for some areas, refilling it can get tedious. Pros: place for essential oils, powerful, the mist it fine so it doesn't wet furniture, quiet Cons: tank could be larger for its size, only two modes

With the weather changing humidifiers are needed for the changing air. I love how small and sleek it is first of all, its so aesthetically pleasing. Secondly the top fill of it is so nice, I dreaded other humidifiers how you would have to take it apart and fill, its very easy. The added bonus of it being a diffuser is awesome. Overall I definitely recommend it!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Doesn't Last Long This is the perfect sized humidifier for a smaller room such as a bedroom. I like that it has a place to add essential oils if you desire. My only complaint is that the water runs out too quickly. I like to have a humidifier running at night while I sleep and this one definitely did not last all night despite being completely full and being turned on as I got into bed. Other than that it works great and does what it should.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from YouWill Never Go Back To A Heated Mist Humidifier After a number of years of using heated mist humidifiers during the winter months, when the mineral deposit on two heated mist units became impossible to clean in December 2021, I decided to try a "cool mist, ultrasonic humidifier. I selected the Holmes HM295TG humidifier - primarily on its small, unobtrusive size and stylish design. Over the past 4 months I've used one of these 24/7 in the bedroom and home office. The unit requires refilling 2x a day, morning and evening (running on low power). In the time period I've had the units they have only required cleaning once - which was a breeze. Much, much different than the heated mist humidifiers where were a major pain ! Living in Houston means we don't need to add humidity to the residence during most of the year. My two Holmes units are now cleaned awaiting December 2022 ! Highly satisfied with purchase !

Very easy to use and I like that you fill from the top, so you're less likely to spill anything. Works great as a diffuser for scented oils, which I use it more for than as a humidifier. A lot comes out of the top, it's surprisingly strong, so I don't keep it running all the time, just when I want to freshen up the room.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from bad plastic smell I love the simplicity and user friendliness of the design, but the plastic has a horrible chemical odor and unfortunately the base of the unit where the air comes out is where the strongest smell is and can't be washed because that's where the electrical is. I want a humidifier for health reasons, and it's not going to help my health to have toxic off-gassing in the air. Returning.

Essentially silent while running, and puts out cool vapor which is nice to not have to worry about hot steam with a toddler. Washing seems straightforward and the option to use essential oils or Vick's packs will be a nice feature to try in the future.

The Holmes ultrasonic humidifier is not only great looking, but functions flawlessly. Our house has forced hot air heat and it gets very dry. I used to wake up with a stuffed up nose and feeling all dried up....not anymore thanks to this great product. Highly recommended!

The adjustable settings are great. It puts off a cool mist feels really good. The removable tank is so easy to refill. It's also so quiet you would never know it was on.

It got everything around it wet, even on the low setting, and was leaking some sort of red colored water out of the sides, it was disgusting. I tried it multiple times and it happened each time. I even put it on the floor away from things but the floor just got soaked and had to mop.

It's super simple to clean and doesn't need a filter. The Holmes Humidifier also works with Vick's Vapo Pads, which everyone knows feels so good if you're sick. It can run for 16 hours on the low setting.
