works good!
I have a large Holmes air purifier that works great at home but I wanted a small one to use when traveling to save wear on my husband’s back. Perfumes, cleaning agents and Freebreeze sprayed all over the hotel rooms, give me lots of trouble. I’ll use this air purifier in the bedroom. I’ll have to let you know how it works after this weekend. Our daughter gets
married out of town. This will be easy to take in the car.

Noise generator
Purchased a replacement of the same model that finally bit the dust. The first one was great, efficient and relatively quiet on lower settings. Brand new out of the box and this thing is a noise generator that would rival a coffee grinder on all settings.

Happy so far.
I've had this little air purifier for about a year now, and have been quite happy with it. It's a little work horse. I bought it to help remove smoke from my apartment during the bad wild fires here in California, it does help. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because I wish it moved more air through it on its lowest (quietest) setting and that its highest setting it wasn't so noisy. I like to keep it running at night while I sleep, but it doesn't do much on it's lowest setting. Keeping it at medium is fine if it not near the bed, but high it way to noisey to have it in the same room as you while trying to sleep. Daytime it really doesn't matter I usually keep it on high or medium and it doesn't bug me.I have kept it running up to 48 hours without issue. Also the Holmes brand replacement air filters cost an arm and a leg. Though there are some off brand filters that you can get that work well.

Rating for dusty birds misleading
The pet dander does not cover my example. I am using 3 in an 8 by 15 room. My room is a pet room where I have 2 cockatiels. I must change prefillters every 2 months and the hepa filters every 4 months.

I had one very similar. Thats what I wanted. It was only $40.00 at Walmart. I cant find it now. It worked AWESOME & I NEED MANY FOR MY FAMILY SO THE PRICE MATTERS A LOT. THANKS !

This model utilizes a hang tab and filter clips to insure that the filter is properly in place. The tabs are only on one side for easier unmount during filter change. Upon checking, the top switch is for ionizer (This appliance has an optional ionizer feature which, when turned on, releases negative ions into outgoing filtered air to help the air purification process).
