The Holmes® aer1 Tower Air Purifier with True HEPA filter captures particles as small as 0.3 microns and is 99.97% efficient in removing common household odors and allergens such as pollen, dust, mold, pet dander, and smoke. I have bad asthma and I love this little machine
I have had mine for a year now I bought it last August as a result of wild fires near my tiny (200 square foot) studio. And immediately noticed a difference in the air quality. I put it down to tiny home and small space. I have since moved to a different apartment. The summer wild fires are worse and closer this year. My living room smells like an ashtray and I Cannot Breathe outside. But I can breathe easily in my bedroom were this little unit lives and the air smells fresh and clean. I plan to buy a second one for the living room. It's a great little machine and I would recommend it to anyone.

Awesome machine -difficult cartridge replacement
I LOVE this machine. I'm a smoker and this thing makes a world of difference. I keep it running 24/7. I do however have 2 issues. #1 It's noisy. In a small room, such as a bedroom anything with audio must be turned up fairly loud to hear. #2 I have had an extremely difficult time getting replacement filters. Walmart doesn't carry them, there is no Target within 50 miles, and Amazon is always out of stock. Would it really be so hard for these to be made available direct from the manufacturer? At $30 a pop, it seems to me like it would be something to consider. I don't want to replace my unit, this IS the most effective, affordable I've found. But it's pretty useless without filters.

Worked for awhile...
I brought this product and it really helped with my allergies, good air flow. Life was great with fresh air. I had it for a month or so until it stopped working. The fan wasn’t spinning and it would make a buzzing noise. As if it was stuck and it smell burnt. As i like to fix things, i took it upon myself to take a look at it. I lubed up the bearing and got it to spin again. Gave it to my niece and it just stopped working again after a week and a half. I guess i just got a bad batch. There goes $80+ outta pocket for a product that lasted me less then 3-5 months. Yes, i do change filters since i leave it on all night and turn it off when i come back from work. Turn it back on before i go to bed.

Really good air purifier
This air purifier works so good that I wanted to write a review. I have owned this for the past month and it is doing a great job at keeping the air clean. I have a small 1,000 square foot house with 3 dogs and two cats. I have to vacuum the outside of this unit almost daily because they capture so much hair and dirt. I am sure glad that I purchased this.

It works well
When I bought this the box read what it would do and how many square feet it covered , when placed next to my husband at night who usually has troubles sleeping due to sneezing and allergy related stuff , it eased his symptoms and made it easier for him to sleep because he was breathing clean air , easy to clean and maintain the only down side is the replacement filters are a little pricey but I'm satisfied with my choice we are also thinking on getting another one for the other side of the apartment

Tower Air Purifier Works Good
This air purifier works good at removing dust and allergens from the air, leaves air fresh. I used it in my bedroom. Its kind of quiet on the lowest setting, but not whisper quiet. It's quieter than some other brand purifiers I've used in the past. I have severe allergies and this helps a lot. I'm thinking of getting another one to replace an older purifier I'm using in my living room. Good value price on this size purifier due getting it on sale.

Works well!
I purchased this over a month ago for my living room. My family has noticed that they don't sneeze as often as they used to. I love the sleek design and multiple settings. It was also cheaper buying it though Holmes versus at Walmart!

Turn the Filter Reminder Dial to select the current month you are replacing the new filter(s). This will serve as reference for when filter replacement is needed. For example, filters with a 12-month filter life: set the filter reminder dial to 12 months and keep track on how long a filter has been in use. We hope this information helps. Every few weeks, check the condition of filter(s). The VisipureTM Filter Viewing Window is a lens which allows you to get a clear view of the dirt being collected in the filter. The Filter Reminder Dial also helps you keep track of when to change the filters. To properly place your filter, align the clips on the side of Aer1&reg; filters with rails on the inside of the purifier unit. Gently slide the filters onto the rail. We hope this information helps. Power of an air purifier is about 50 watts, you could run it restlessly for 20 hours to increase one unit. Compare to the general power of a light bulb of 60 watts and a computer of 365 watts. Your air purifiers are much more energy efficient than most of your popular electric devices. The rated power of a modern air purifier is 50 watts on average. That means it consumes 18 kWh of electrical energy in a month based on daily 12 hours of usage, which will cost $2.2 at 12 cents/kWh energy rate. We hope this information helps. Have a good one!

We advise that the best placement of the air purifier would be close to a window or doorway. Through windows and doorways, the airflow moves freely and is able to lift dust, molds, and any other particles and quickly spreads it in your room.
