Hi there, Dan47! Thank you for choosing Holmes&reg;️. The Filter Replacement Indicator light (filter icon) starts blinking when it is time to replace the filter. Replace the True HEPA HAPF360 (type J) filter with a new one and reset the unit after changing the filter. To reset the filter reminder, press and hold the night light/Filter icon for 3 seconds. The light will flash 3 times and then go off. We hope this information helps, have a wonderful day!
