I am trying to clean my front grill, but I can not get it off.

Certain models do not have a removable front grill. We suggest utilizing a can of compressed air to remove dirt and dust from blades or by using the brush attachment on your vacuum cleaner to vacuum the intake grills to remove lint and dirt. If your fan does have a removable front grill, please refer to the manual for cleaning instructions.

How do I clean my fan?

Follow the cleaning instructions found in your fan manual to care for your Holmes® Fan correctly and safely. Please remember: Always unplug the fan before cleaning. Many customers find vacuum cleaner brushes to be ideal fan blade cleaners. Do not allow water to drip on or enter the fan housing. Be sure to use a soft cloth moistened with a mild soap solution. Do not use any of the following as a cleaner: gasoline, thinner or benzene.

Is it necessary for me to lubricate or oil the motor on my fan?

No, your fan motor comes fully lubricated out of the box. It does not need to be lubricated or oiled prior to use. We highly recommend against lubricating or oiling the fan at any time.
