Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth the price. I have bought two of these fans at Target in less then two years. One lasted less then a year, the second less than five months! The first just stopped working after minimum use, I only used it a few hours a day. I like the fan so bought another, this one also barely used and it stopped working yesterday. We tired everything but it won't com back on, it is dead. I felt they were well made, but at the price they are not worth it when they die after a few months. One I bought at WalMart for 18. has worked now no issue for three years! So upsetting as I can not get a refund, my black on still looks brand new.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a fan of this fan I received this as a gift less than a year ago and I have had problems from day 1. Initially they were just inconveniences such as the knobs for the adjustments wouldn't tighten enough to keep the settings in place and I would have to adjust it daily. However, less than a year of use and there is something wrong with the motor. Within the last month, I tried to turn it on and I can barely get the blades to spin at any speed..

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Holmes 16" Oscillating 5 Blade Stand Fan I received this as a birthday gift in March. Here I am 2 month later and it has finally fallen apart. First it was just that it couldn't be adjusted up and down. After that, the cage clips wouldn't stay closed so I had to tape them so the front wouldn't fall off. Finally, now the fan blade came off and on of the blades broke off. I can find parts for it or return it because I received it as a gift, I don't have a receipt. So here I am now in the heat of summer with no fan. I've been plagued with one problem after another. If a person could purchase replacement parts it might be worth the trouble but no such luck.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Fan I am literally sitting in front of this fan as I write this review and I can’t feel much air from it at all. Like, I am sweating in front of a fan that I thought was built to keep me cool. This has not been a good experience. Assembly and everything went smoothly - pretty easy to assemble, but when I turned it on I was in dismay at how poorly it circulated air around my bedroom. I literally have to sit 2-inches away from the fan to feel it. I’ve had smaller desktop fans that blew this fan out of the water, but for $30 why not? My advice; don’t get it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Quality! Stopped Working Less than 1 Year! I bought this fan about 8 months ago. It was fine for about 3 or 4 months then it began starting slowly. I checked it for loose parts, cleaned it, etc but when starting it, the blades took time to get going. After putting up with this for a month, the blades eventually quit moving unless you took off the screen and gave it a push start with your fingers. Eventually it quit altogether! Poor Quality! Disappointed! Will not buy this brand again!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality and no parts to fix Bought 2 for my daughter at college. One died the first year, the second still works, surprise from reading the other comments. The plastic left hand thread nut that holds the fan blade stripped. Its in a metric size and none of the major hardware suppliers carry revere thread nuts and the Ace and Orchard Hardware carries standard size reverse thread nuts. Chated with Holmes and they don't sell the replacement part. Will not be wasting money on a Holmes product again.
