Rated 5 out of 5 by Deb C from Great way to cool off a room I use these fans in our windows to suck in the cool air through the screens. Rather than purchase an expensive whole house fan for a few thousand $$$$, we bought 4 fans and use them in the rooms as needed. They work AWESOME. I put the fans on timers so they turn on and off on our schedule. Also, since they don't have a handle on the top, the fit nicely on windows that slide up and down too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by kevinbadz from Pretty cool fan Bought this a month ago, I can say it keeps my room cool. I have my computer and ps3 monitors and tv on most of the day so it gets pretty warm. To top it off I have a mini fridge. I put this fan on my window i wait like 1 hour and my room is super cold. Only con I have is that it feels cheap and sometimes makes noise.

Rated 4 out of 5 by MAF1796 from Great... just one flaw We have two of these fans in our house and they work GREAT!!! There is one flaw with this fan, there is a cord attachment and sometimes I don't know if its plugged in correctly. i wish this fan didn't have a cord attachment, but its still amazing

Rated 2 out of 5 by Lord Kelvin from Don't like the cord attachment I want to place the fan in the window and blow in. The power cord connects at the motor, in the middle of the fan, and sticks out into the window screen. Not nearly as nice as being guided out the case the way most fans are designed. Should have used an L-shaped connector, at least.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Michael88 from Great Fans Just bought another two of these fans for our home. We stack them in a frame I made and place them in the office window. We turn them on every night and they blow air out that office window which, in turn, pulls the cool air in through the bedroom windows. We've had these fans for at least three years now and every night they fire-up and work like a dream. These, rather than the air conditioner, has lowered our electric bill sometimes by as much as $80 per month. Great fans. Durable, quiet, and with a little care (dis-assembly and cleaning from time to time - wash the screens, and blow the engine with a CO2 keyboard duster) they do the job, again and again. In our house they have paid for themselves about 20+ times over by now. Thanks, Holmes. As usual American-made is more than reliable !

Rated 1 out of 5 by A very angry customer from Unbalanced Fan blades. I bought this fan like a month or two ago and it worked fine up until a few days ago. I noticed the fans blades while circulating air was wobbling, And now the fans are hitting and scraping against the grate. So I took the grate off and the blades off to see if there was anything cosmetically wrong and I noticed this (the photo attached down below). I sadly don't have the receipt to return it now because I believe I bought the warranty. But this is very cheaply made and I wouldn't want anyone else buying this. The worst 20$ I ever spent !

Rated 1 out of 5 by Josef from Holy Moly Terrible Fan We just purchased two of these fans. For the first week of owning this fan, they worked great! They push a lot of air and have a very powerful motor. Then... They both BROKE - within two weeks of purchase. The plastic blade mold easily comes off of the rotor shaft. Either the chord (geometric) of the rotor shaft is not beveled down enough to secure the rotor shaft into position, or more likely, they didn't create an actual molded center of the plastic blade that accomodates the chord and fixes it into position. Please fix the design. Either a deeper chord, or an actual mold to accomidate it!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Joy1 from WORST FAN I HAVE EVER PURCHASED This fan works fine, when the plug actually stays plugged into the back of the fan which is never. You have to perfectly set it in there and lean it on something in order for it to stay. I would say the most basic requirement of the fan is that you can actually turn it on and in this case you can't so don't buy this unless you want to be extremely frustrated. I will never purchase a Holmes product again for this reason. The only reason I'm giving it 1 star is because I can't give it 0.
