Holmes® Cool Mist Humidifier with Digital Control Panel is rated 3.6903 out of 5 by 113.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything is great. Love the controls. I have had this humidifier for years and let me tell you that I truly love it. Easy to fill and set the amount of moisture you need in your area. I have had mine for so many years that I think it is time to retire it and look at getting a new one before they decide to discontinue it. Only difficulty is trying to clean the fan blades. That is a challenge and I haven't figured that out yet. It is quite dusty here in Arizona so you need to keep after it. But overall, It is great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Healthy Cool I've had a similar model (HM1889) for years and absolutely love it. I too have had a job getting the fan blades cleaned but this machine delivers the best microscopic mist I have ever experienced. There is no water damage anywhere and it cools the air beautifully over a large area. I've been so afraid of it breaking because of its advanced age but now that I've seen this newer model I am buying it as a backup. Also the humidistat keeps the amount of moisture as set perfectly. I have several sensors in my room and they always are spot on. Can't say enough good things about it. It is sometimes difficult to find the filters but I am getting replacements on this site as well today so I am extremely happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from PUTS OUT A LOT OF H2O WE HAVE BEEN USING THIS HUMIDIFER FOR THE PAST 7 YEARS. LIVING IN LAS VEGAS IT IS VERY DRY. SINGLE DIGIT HUMIDITY. IF YOU DON'T USE A HUMIDIFER, IT'S ALIGATOR DRY SKIN. THIS IS THE BEST WE HAVE USED.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Inaccurate humidistat I have had an older version of this for over 16 years and have been pleased with it's performance. The new one does just as well at getting humidity into the air. My low rating is based on the gross inaccuracy of the digital humidistat. I tried 3 separate units and they all had the same problem. The readout will not go above 38 to 40. Even though I have 2 dial type humidistats in my home that read around 60. I have a 1,600 square foot ranch with an open floor plan and by locating this in somewhat central location it does a great job on the whole house. Just make sure you by a humidistat along with it if you want accuracy

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Humidifiers needed for health It brings up the humidity level in my home in the winter when the heat is on. I need to balance the air for my asthma. I just wish it was a little easier to fill the tank, instead of taking it off and filling it from the bottom. I have two of this type for years and am satisfied with the job it does.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This has lasted! I have had this unit for a few years (HM1865) and it still works fine. The filters are harder to find in most stores but I have found that I can use a Sunbeam filter SF206 which is more readily available in stores like WAL---- and others. I can however order straight from the manufacturer. The wonders of the internet!!! LOL

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I wanted! I bought this to replace a Holmes Humidifier that I had had for 20 years that had stopped working. I had tried buying a humidifier from the store, but it spit out a lot of mist, could not control the flow or amount of moisture put out and it left the surrounding area damp. It was also way too quiet. This humidifier has controls for humidity level and output so I can control the mist level and it has just the right amount of 'white noise' output. Slept like a baby the first night I had my new Holmes humidifier.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good, but obsolete, features Bought this for my 98 year old mother. She dropped the tank in the tub trying to fill it for only the second time, it shattered. Luckily, I thought, I found a replacement tank on the Holmes website. I then found it was "obsolete" and unavailable a week after I bought it! It WAS a nice unit but the tank shatters like glass! Soooo, good bye, good buy. Think I'll try a Sunbeam this time..
